Grace Cathedral, San Francisco
June 2021-December 2022
Working with the world-renowned Grace Cathedral in San Francisco, a new multidisciplinary exhibit was developed to launch their paid Visitor Experience and Cultural Membership Program.
A strategic plan was presented and various interactive approaches were explored including QR codes, audio tours, docent scripts, labeling and interactive displays. A team was created for content development and dynamic existing exhibit software was sourced to meet the exhibit build budget.
Visitor Guides and 15 customized exhibit ipad interactives were installed throughout the 36,000 sq ft space highlighting over 170 works of art for the Visitor Experience exhibit while keeping reverence to this magnificent space as one of the organizations primary goals. The exhibit and guides have been translated into 3 languages to date — Chinese, Spanish and Korean (primary languages identified for the organization) — with more in the planning stages. A secondary Architecture Tour that includes an early model of the cathedral was developed specifically for architectural enthusiasts as one of the organizations target users. A full-color highly developed Children’s Map and Treasure Hunt, using expressive diverse custom illustrations, was created to provide a dynamic experience for a frequent target audience of visiting children to help inspire inspiration exploring the majestic space.
