As a long time designer, Ellen Manerud has produced dynamic projects in identity, collateral, events, signage, retail, and website design. Fueled by her passion for visitor/user experience and site specific design, she has honed her focus on residential and commercial interior design. Ellen is dedicated to storytelling and enhancing experiences, combining a keen aesthetic sense with creative problem-solving.

Her holistic approach to site work involves partnerships with architects, contractors, landscapers, artists, and installation teams, ensuring comprehensive project execution. Experience includes user experience, storytelling, site planning, floor plans, permitting, custom finishes, furniture sourcing, art selection and management of a variety of types of installation for residential and commercial spaces.

Ellen holds a BFA in Graphic Design from California College of Arts and a BA from UC Berkeley in Art History. Prior to being an independent consultant, she worked on staff at SFMOMA, Esprit, Wired Magazine and West Office Exhibition Design,

As an artist, Ellen has worked in stained and fused glass, ceramics, painting, sculpture, small metal work and photography. She lives in Petaluma, California.
